    The sounds of cowbells, confetti poppers, shouts of encouragement and throwback rock ’n’ roll music filled the air on Saturday, April 22, as 29,964 feet traversed 32,808 feet at the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10k.

    With COVID concerns fading and the postrace party returning to Monroe Park, Sports Backers executive director Jon Lugbill thinks the popular Monument Avenue 10k will have a more normal feel when the race gets going Saturday at 8:30 a.m.


    Last season was historic for the Richmond Kickers and part of the reason why was the amount of fan turnout to the games and the team is excited to see fans back home at City Stadium once again.
